Neuropati otonom kardiovaskular adalah komplikasi diabetes mellitus yang umum namun sering tersembunyi padahal dapat mengancam jiwa. Deteksi awal dan diagnosis neuropati otonom kardiovaskular pada pasien diabetes dapat dengan metode sederhana penilaian variabilitas denyut jantung. Cardiovascular Autonomic Reflex Test (CART) adalah baku emas uji diagnosis neuropati otonom kardiovaskular. Kontrol glikemik sangat penting untuk pencegahan dan penanganan neuropati ini.
Cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy is a common and underdiagnosed complication of diabetes mellitus with potential serious life-threatening prognosis. Early detection and diagnosis can be done with simple method of heart rate variability measurement. Cardiovascular Autonomic Reflex Test (CART) is the gold standard diagnostic test. Glycemic control is very important to prevent and to manage this disease.
