Abstract

Anjuran skrining mammografi untuk deteksi dini kanker payudara menghasilkan bertambah banyaknya penemuan lesi payudara yang masih terlokalisasi. Selanjutnya, lesi baru tersebut membutuhkan tindakan biopsi untuk mendapatkan diagnosis histopatologi. Biopsi lesi payudara perkutan dengan panduan pencitraan merupakan metode diagnostik terpilih dibandingkan teknik konvensional biopsi terbuka. Beberapa teknik biopsi perkutan pada payudara, yaitu biopsi aspirasi jarum halus/fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), biopsi core, dan vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (VABB).

 

Mammography screening results in more findings of localized breast lesion. These lesions need biopsy to acquire histopathological diagnosis. Percutaneous biopsy with imaging guidance is the preferred method as compared with open conventional biopsy. Techniques for breast percutaneous biopsy includes fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), core biopsy, and vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (VABB).
