Success in medical studies is not only determined by intelligence, which has certainly been tested through secondary education and entrance selection, but also by personality factors that support adaptation to different academic environments. This edition's research article on personality types is expected to provide input for students and educators in the health sector, so that they can plan support efforts for successful studies.
The impact of smoking is discussed again, this time in relation to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which is also reviewed in a case report, with the hope of raising awareness to reduce preventable health impacts. The rapidly developing field of telemedicine is analyzed in relation to obstetrics and gynecology services, with the hope of providing insight into the latest developments in health information technology. An interesting case study is the use of tempeh porridge in clinical management, which can be maximized in accordance with abundant local resources.
