Health problems should be prevented as early as possible through good health management, including nutritional status. As two research reports in this edition note, both undernutrition and overnutrition, even in childhood, have health consequences and should therefore be a focus for efforts to prevent the emergence of adverse health conditions in the future.

Several alternative management approaches, such as hyperbaric therapy and phlebotomy, are worth considering as potential therapeutic options. Three case reports should be studied to raise awareness of atypical or less typical clinical presentations of disease, thereby maintaining the diagnostic skills of colleagues.
