Asupan gizi yang baik dalam berolahraga merupakan salah satu faktor untuk mendukung pencapaian prestasi yang optimal. Kebutuhan gizi olahragawan berbeda dari kebutuhan gizi orang yang bukan olahragawan. Zat gizi yang dibutuhkan atlet terdiri dari zat gizi makro dan zat gizi mikro. Zat gizi makro merupakan penghasil energi untuk aktivitas baik selama latihan, dekat masa pertandingan, dan selama masa pertandingan. Implementasi strategi gizi olahraga yang baik dapat membantu atlet mencapai performa terbaik.
Good nutrition in sports is one of the supporting factors for optimal achievement. Nutritional needs between athletes and non-athletes is different. Nutrition needed by athletes consists of macronutrients and micronutrients. Macronutrients are energy producers, needed for activities during training and competition. Good nutritional strategies may help athletes maximize their performance.
