Editorial Process

An editor will review submitted articles to ensure their suitability in terms of focus and scope, as well as adherence to the general writing guidelines of the Cermin Dunia Kedokteran journal, within a maximum period of 1 week. Each article that passes this stage will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. If there is minor plagiarism, the article must be revised; if there is severe plagiarism, it will be rejected.

Next, the article will undergo a peer review process. Revisions may be required and will be re-evaluated by the editor in charge after the author provides an adequate response. The article will be submitted to the editor-in-chief for further revision, and ultimately an editorial decision will be made.

Accepted articles will enter the article editing stage for spelling and grammar checking, standardization of the journal's internal writing style, correction of tables and figures, and improvement of overall writing quality. Revisions that are not completed at this stage will result in a delayed publication schedule. The document will then enter the layout stage of the production process. Before publication, the corresponding author will be sent publication schedule information and must provide final confirmation of approval.

In general, the article submission process at CDK is as follows:

1. Initial screening, including suitability with the journal's focus and scope and CDK writing guidelines, as well as the similarity index.

2. Once the article meets the criteria, it will enter the review process by the editorial team.

At this stage, if necessary, the author can obtain a letter stating that the article is under review and planned for publication in the CDK journal.

3. The editorial team will send feedback to the author. The author will revise the article according to the review results (this can be done several times according to the editorial team's input).

4. Once the article is finalized, it will be scheduled for publication.

The estimated time for publication is approximately 4-8 months after finalization (may be shorter or longer).

Peer-Review Process

Cermin Dunia Kedokteran Journal uses the standard review process from OJS to manage the article review process. The Standard Review Process guides reviewers through each stage of the process, ensuring a complete review history for each submitted article, and utilizing automatic reminder notifications and standard recommendations for submitted articles (Accepted, Accepted with revisions, Submitted for review, Rejected, and See comments).

An editor first reviews the submitted article. The manuscript will be evaluated at an early stage to determine whether it is in line with the focus and scope of the journal and complies with general writing guidelines or requires improvement (read: Author Guidelines). Each manuscript that passes this stage will be checked for plagiarism before being reviewed by reviewers. One of the reviewers is appointed from another institution (national or international). This journal uses a double-blind review process, in which manuscripts are sent to reviewers anonymously. Reviewer comments are also sent anonymously to the corresponding author to take the necessary action and response. Decisions regarding revised articles will be evaluated at an editorial board meeting, and the final decision will be sent to the corresponding author.

The editor will send the article to the reviewer via the website or send it via email to access the journal's website to complete the review process. Reviewers access the website
