Abstract

Headache is a common problem in children and adolescents and sometimes is worrisome for parents. Pediatric headache can be divided into primary and secondary headache (as a symptom of underlying disease). Evaluation should include complete history taking, general physical and neurologic examinations, neuroimaging, and other additional examinations as indicated. A stepwise and comprehensive approach to the evaluation of headache is needed to identify the causes of headache and start the treatment based on the etiologies and headache types.
