Abstract

Usia dini merupakan masa penting bagi anak untuk membangun hubungan erat dengan orang lain dan lingkungan sekitar, membentuk kebiasaan hidup sehat, serta menjadi masa emas perkembangan otak. Inovasi teknologi telah mengubah pola penggunaan media oleh anak usia dini. Penggunaan media digital yang berlebihan saat usia dini dapat mengakibatkan gangguan fisik, psikologis, dan perkembangan anak. Orang tua memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk kebiasaan penggunaan media yang sehat pada anak. Pembatasan durasi penggunaan media, pemantauan aktivitas media anak, serta interaksi antara orang tua dan anak saat penggunaan media merupakan langkah-langkah penting untuk menciptakan kebiasaan penggunaan media yang bijak bagi anak usia dini.

Early age is a golden period for brain development; it is an important period for children to build a close relationship with other person and their surrounding environment, to form a healthy living habit. Excessive digital media use in this period could lead to impairment in children’s physical, psychological, and developmental condition. Parents have an important role in forming a healthy media use habit in children. Restriction on media use duration, monitoring on children’s media activities, as well as interactions between parents and children while using the media are important steps to create a healthy habit in promoting wise media use in young children.
