Abstract

Perawakan pendek banyak dijumpai pada anak-anak di Indonesia. Perawakan pendek dapat merupakan suatu varian normal ataupun abnormal. Faktor yang dapat memengaruhi timbulnya perawakan pendek pada anak antara lain faktor genetik, nutrisi, hormon, penyakit, faktor psikologis, sosial ekonomi, dan lain-lain. Dampak perawakan pendek pada anak berupa gangguan kognitif, psikososial, dan kualitas hidup di kemudian hari.

 

Short stature is common in children in Indonesia. Short stature can be a normal or abnormal variant. Many factors can cause short stature in children, including genetic, nutrition, hormones, diseases, psychological, socio-economic, etc. The impact of short stature on children includes decreased cognitive function, psychosocial, and quality of life.
