Abstract

Taekwondo adalah salah satu jenis olahraga martial arts. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh angka kejadian cedera pada kejuaraan taekwondo tingkat amatir di Jakarta 2016. Metode.Penelitian menggunakan data primer pada Kejuaraan Ambassador Cup (AC) 2016 (n1= 1.180 peserta) dan Jakarta Taekwondo Festival (JTF) 2016 (n2 = 2.440 peserta) di Jakarta, Indonesia. Data diolah secara univariat. Hasil. Angka kejadian cedera pada kejuaraan taekwondo tingkat amatir sebesar 1,66% dari total 3620 peserta, pada AC 26 kasus (2,2%) dan JTF 34 kasus (1,39%). Cedera di kalangan atlet laki–laki 1,02% dibandingkan pada perempuan 0,64%. Usia terbanyak atlet cedera adalah 12-17 tahun dengan jumlah 36 dari total 60 atlet yang cedera pada kedua kompetisi. Seluruh cedera adalah ringan, lokasi cedera terutama kaki sebesar 18,3% dari total 60 atlet yang cedera, diikuti tulang kering dan mata 15%, pergelangan kaki 13,3% dan paha 10%. Berdasarkan diagnosis, cedera terbanyak adalah kontusio 36,7% dari total 60 atlet cedera diikuti sprain 25%, epistaksis dan strain 6,7%, laserasi 5%, cramp 3,3% serta diagnosis lain 16,7%. Simpulan. Kompetisi taekwondo tingkat amatir tetap memiliki risiko cedera, terutama kontusio pada kaki.

Taekwondo is a kind of the martial arts. This study is to identify the injuries in the amateur taekwondo championship in Jakarta 2016. Method.The study was conducted in Ambassador Cup Championship (ACC) 2016 (n1= 1.180 participants) and in Jakarta Taekwondo Festival (JTF) 2016 (n2 = 2.440 participants). Results. The incidence of injury was 1,66% of total 3.620 participants, 26 (2,2%) in ACC and 34 (1,39%) in JTF; 1,02% among male and 0,64% among female. The injured athletes was mostly 12-17 year-old (36 out of 60 injured athletes in both competitions). All injuries were minor, most injuries was in foot (18,3% of 60 injured athletes), followed by shinbones and eyes (15%), ankles (13,3%), and thighs (10%). Most injuries were contusions (36,7% of 60 injured athletes), followed by sprains (25%), epistaxis and strains (6,7%), lacerations (5%), cramps (3,3%), and other injuries (16,7%). Conclusions.
