Abstract

Antibiotik profilaksis pra-operasi didefinisikan sebagai pemberian antibiotik sebelum operasi untuk mengurangi risiko infeksi pasca-operasi. Antibiotik profilaksis optimal untuk pembedahan idealnya sesuai pedoman penggunaan antibiotik profilaksis atau pedoman lokal. Kriteria antibiotik profilaksis dalam pembedahan yang tepat meliputi tepat indikasi, tepat jenis antibiotik, tepat dosis, tepat rute, tepat waktu, dan durasi pemberian.

Pre-operative antibiotic prophylaxis is defined as administration of antibiotics prior to surgical procedure to decrease postoperative infection risk. The optimal antibiotic prophylaxis for surgery is ideally in accordance with the guidelines. The key elements of appropriate surgical antimicrobial prophylaxis prescribing include correct indication, antimicrobial, drug dose, route, timing of administration, and duration.
