Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk given to babies from birth until age of six months, without adding and/or replacing with other foods or drinks (except drugs, vitamins, and minerals). The benefits of breastfeeding for infants are to provide ideal nutrition, to increase endurance, to help mother and babybonding, to increase children’s intelligence, to achieve ideal baby weight, and can prevent sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Breastfeeding can supposedly also reduce the risk of diabetes, obesity, and certain cancers.
