Abstract

Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi, laser dan intense pulsed light (IPL) menjadi pilihan modalitas terapi hiperpigmentasi. Kedalaman penetrasi sinar laser meningkat seiring meningkatnya panjang gelombang.

With the rapid evolution of technology, laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) have become one of the modalities of choice for hyperpigmentation therapy. The depth of laser beam penetration increases with increasing wavelength. Laser and IPL with short wavelength are effective to treat superficial hyperpigmentations. While dermal and mixed type hyperpigmentations have better response towards lasers with longer wavelength. Accurate laser parameter choice and good pre and post procedural preparations reduce the risk of side effects.
