Hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) merupakan komplikasi serius pada ginjal yang sering berkembang pada pasien sirosis dekompensata, menyebabkan gangguan sirkulasi sistemik. HRS melibatkan mekanisme serta tata laksana yang kompleks. Berbagai terapi telah dikembangkan untuk mengatasi HRS, seperti penggunaan agen vasokonstriktor, albumin intravena, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunting (TIPS), dan transplantasi hati.
