Vitamin K deficiency bleeding (VKDB) in newborn is an acquired coagulation disorder with nonspecific clinical manifestations. The symptoms are from skin bleeding to a life-threatening intracranial bleeding. Three types of VKDB according to its onset are early, classic and late type. Proper managements of VKDB include administration of vitamin K and/or fresh frozen plasma (FFP). Prevention can be done by giving vitamin K prophylaxis in newborn.
