Syzygium aromaticum (Ekstrak Cengkeh) sebagai Terapi Tambahan Kasus Cutaneous Larva Migrans

Cutaneous larva migrans (CLM) atau creeping eruption adalah lesi kulit disebabkan invasi larva filariformis spesies Ancylostoma braziliensis atau Ancylostoma caninum dari kucing atau anjing. Dilaporkan satu kasus CLM pada perempuan usia 46 tahun. Pada pemeriksaan fisik, didapatkan papul eritema multipel serpiginosa pada bokong kanan yang gatal, nyeri, dan panas. Diberikan terapi albendazole tablet 1 x 400 mg/hari selama 3 hari, cetirizine tablet 1 x 10 mg/hari, dan minyak Syzygium aromaticum (ekstrak cengkeh) yang dioleskan pada daerah lesi 1 kali sehari selama 6 hari. Pada terapi hari keenam, pasien mengalami perbaikan klinis.
Cutaneous larva migrans (CLM) is a cutaneous lesion caused by invasion filariform larvae of Ancylostoma braziliensis or Ancylostoma caninum species from cats or dogs. A 46-year-old female presented with very itchy, painful serpiginous lesions with hyperemic papules on right buttock area. She was treated with oral albendazole 400 mg once daily for 3 days, oral cetirizine 10 mg once daily, and Syzygium aromaticum (clove extract) oil applied to the lesion area once daily for 6 days. On the sixth day of therapy, patient showed clinical improvement.
