Dengue encephalitis is neurological manifestation caused by dengue infection and can occur in the first day of infection. Neurotropic feature and its neuropathogenesis invoke immune response with spectrum of symptoms, from self-limited without sequale to severe clinical symptoms. Diagnosis is by acute cerebral signs and detection of dengue imunoglobulin M or antigen in the tissue, serum, or cerebrospinal fluid. Optimal management result in good prognosis.
