Sekitar 10 persen manusia mengeluh nyeri leher dalam setiap bulan. Penyebab nyeri leher sangat bervariasi, mulai dari yang ringan hingga serius. Pendekatan diagnostik nyeri leher dimulai dari penentuan potensi patologi yang berbahaya (red flags), faktor psikososial (yellow flags), jenis nyeri, dan durasi nyeri melalui anamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik, pemeriksaan radiologis, dan pemeriksaan laboratorium. Evaluasi dan penilaian secara teliti dan komprehensif menghasilkan diagnosis yang tepat, sehingga menurunkan angka morbiditas dan mortalitas.
Approximately 10 percent of people suffers and complains neck pain during a month period. Etiologies of neck pain range from the mildest to the most serious. Diagnostic approach for neck pain starts with identifying potential dangerous pathology (red flags), psychosocial factors (yellow flags), type and duration of neck pain, followed by detailed history taking, physical examination, radiological examination, and laboratory work-up. A comprehensive evaluation and assessment will result in a right diagnosis to decrease morbidity and mortality
