Albendazole Oral sebagai Alternatif Pengobatan Skabies

Skabies adalah penyakit kulit yang disebabkan oleh infestasi tungau Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Skabies umumnya menyebabkan gatal intens yang berhubungan dengan garukan, mengganggu tidur yang berdampak pada performa di sekolah ataupun pekerjaan, dan akhirnya berdampak pada produktivitas. Beberapa penelitian menggunakan albendazole oral sebagai alternatif terapi skabies karena penggunaan topikal dinilai kurang praktis.
Scabies is a skin condition caused by infestation of Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Scabies especially causes intense pruritus and relates with itching, sleep disturbance that may impact school and work activities, and economic productivity. Recent studies use albendazole oral as an alternative treatment for scabies as topical treatment is considered impractical.
