Oklusi vena retina sentral (central retinal vein occlusion/CRVO) merupakan sumbatan akibat trombus sistem vena retina area sentral atau posterior saraf optikus. Usia, penyakit kardiovaskular, dan penyakit sistemik dapat menjadi faktor risiko CRVO. Insiden oklusi vena retina pada laki-laki dan perempuan sama dan paling sering pada usia lebih dari 50 tahun. Manifestasi penurunan tajam penglihatan pada CRVO berkaitan dengan edema makula. Tata laksana CRVO dapat berupa medikamentosa dan pembedahan serta modifikasi faktor risiko. Deteksi dan tata laksana dini yang tepat diharapkan dapat mempertahankan tajam penglihatan.
