Abstrak

Kondiloma akuminata atau kutil kelamin merupakan infeksi Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) yang ditandai dengan lesi vegetasi bertangkai atau papil yang berjonjot. Salah satu terapi yang sedang dikembangkan, khususnya di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia, adalah KOH 5%. KOH 5% merupakan larutan basa kuat bersifat keratolitik, yang memiliki beberapa keuntungan dibandingkan terapi lain. KOH 5% diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai terapi alternatif kondiloma akuminata di setiap pusat pelayanan kesehatan primer di Indonesia.

 

Condylomata akuminata or genital warts is an infection of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) which is characterized by vegetation of stemmed or papilloed vegetation. One of the therapies which is being developed, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia, is KOH 5%. KOH 5% is a strong keratolytic base solution, which has several advantages over other therapies. KOH 5% is expected to be used as an alternative therapy of condyloma akuminata in every primary health care center in Indonesia.
