Komplikasi Okular pada Demam Dengue

Komplikasi okular tidak umum terjadi pada demam dengue, tetapi dilaporkan meningkat. Sejumlah studi menunjukkan peran respons imunitas sistemik abnormal pada etiopatogenesis komplikasi okular. Penglihatan kabur disertai keterlibatan segmen posterior merupakan gejala okular yang paling sering terjadi pada demam dengue. Pemeriksaan sederhana di fasilitas kesehatan primer seperti Amsler grid dapat mendeteksi skotoma ataupun metamorfopsia. Deteksi dini komplikasi okular dapat mencegah morbiditas.
