Abstrak

Latar Belakang: Cedera kepala dapat menurunkan fungsi otak dengan morbiditas tinggi. Berbagai studi menunjukkan bahwa citicoline bermanfaat memperbaiki cedera kepala derajat ringan, sedang, dan berat. Tujuan: Meninjau efektivitas citicoline untuk perbaikan kognitif pasien cedera kepala. Metode: Pencarian sistematis pada 2 database, yaitu ScienceDirect dan Pubmed. Artikel yang terpilih kemudian ditelaah kritis dan dianalisis lebih lanjut. Hasil: Studi Levin (1991) dan Calatayud, et al, (1991) dalam Secades, et al. (2021); dan Shokouhi, et al, (2014) menunjukkan citicoline dapat memperbaiki fungsi kognitif pasien dewasa dan lanjut usia dengan cedera kepala derajat ringan, sedang, dan berat (p<0,05). Simpulan: Citicoline efektif dalam perbaikan kognitif pasien cedera kepala.
