Abstrak

Low level laser therapy (LLLT) digunakan di hampir semua bidang kedokteran modern, termasuk dermatologi kosmetik. LLLT memiliki efek menguntungkan untuk tata laksana kerutan, akne vulgaris, skar hipertrofik, rambut rontok, selulit, dan perawatan luka bakar. LLLT dapat mengurangi kerusakan akibat sinar UV, baik sebagai pengobatan maupun profilaksis. Pada kelainan pigmentasi seperti vitiligo, LLLT dapat meningkatkan pigmentasi dengan merangsang proliferasi melanosit dan mengurangi depigmentasi. Sifat non-invasif dan hampir tidak adanya efek samping LLLT mendorong pengujian lebih lanjut dalam bidang dermatologi kosmetik.
