Editorial Process

An editor will review submitted manuscripts within 3-5 working days to ensure they fit the journal's focus and scope and follow the journal's general writing guidelines. Each manuscript that passes this stage will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. If the plagiarism is minor, the manuscript must be revised; if it is severe, it will be rejected.

Next, the manuscript will undergo peer review. Revisions may be required and will be re-evaluated by the editor in charge after the author provides an adequate response. Revisions not completed at this stage will delay the publication schedule. The manuscript will be submitted to the editor-in-chief for further revision, and ultimately an editorial decision will be made.

Accepted manuscripts will enter the manuscript editing stage for spelling and grammar checking, standardization of the journal's internal writing style, correction of tables and figures, and improvement of overall writing quality. Revisions not completed at this stage will delay the publication schedule. The document will then enter the layout stage of the production process. Before publication, the corresponding author will receive publication schedule information and must provide final approval.

In general, the manuscript submission process at CDK is as follows:
  1. Initial screening, including suitability with the journal's focus and scope and CDK writing guidelines, as well as the similarity index. This process takes 3–5 working days.
  2. Once the manuscript fulfills the criteria, it will enter the review process by the editorial team and reviewers. At this stage, if necessary, the author can obtain a letter stating that the manuscript is currently under review in the publication process at the CDK journal. (Please note that it takes at least 2 weeks after the manuscript is submitted to receive a manuscript acknowledgment letter due to the initial review process).
  1. The editorial team will send feedback to the author, and the revised version by the author will be sent back to the journal's website (this can be done several times based on the editorial team's input).
  2. Once the article is finalized, it will be scheduled for publication.

The estimated time to publication is approximately 6–18 months (it may be shorter or longer).
