Frambusia adalah penyakit infeksi treponematosis endemik kronis yang disebabkan oleh bakteri spiroket mikroaerofilik Treponema pallidum subspesies pertenue. Bakteri ini menyebar melalui kontak kulit di lingkungan yang hangat dan lembap, terutama pada anak-anak. Saat ini terdapat 15 negara endemik frambusia di seluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia. Penyakit ini diklasifikasikan oleh World Health Organization (WHO) sebagai penyakit tropis terabaikan dan menjadi target eradikasi pada tahun 2030. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan tenaga medis untuk diagnosis dini dan pengobatan yang tepat perlu ditingkatkan untuk mencapai target eradikasi.
