Abstrak

CRISPR, sebuah teknologi pengubah gen telah terbukti mampu mengubah, memperbaiki, mengganti bagian gen dengan tujuan melakukan terobosan genetik untuk hal preventif dan terapeutik serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup manusia. CRISPR merupakan harapan baru, namun masih perlu diperhatikan implikasi sosial dan dampak etisnya. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk memperjelas keamanan dan spesifisitas teknik tersebut.

 

CRISPR, a gene-modifying technology has been proven to be able to change, repair, replace parts of genes as a genetic breakthrough in prevention and therapeutic as well as in improving the quality of human life. CRISPR is a new hope, but its social implications and ethical impacts still needs to be considered. Further research is needed to clarify the safety and specificity of this technique.
