Abstrak

Lesbian, gay, biseksual, transgender (LGBT) menghadapi banyak kesenjangan kesehatan seksual, termasuk peningkatan risiko infeksi human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), infeksi menular seksual (IMS), dan kehamilan. LGBT sering mengalami stigma negatif, isolasi, dan penolakan sosial dan dari orang tua. Risiko IMS berkaitan dengan orientasi seksual, anatomi seksual, dan perilaku seksual LGBT. LGBT melakukan aktivitas seksual yang bervariasi dan dengan beberapa pasangan, sehingga rentan terhadap penularan IMS dan infeksi HIV. Penyedia layanan kesehatan bertanggung jawab untuk mendiskusikan secara terbuka masalah kesehatan seksual, termasuk orientasi seksual, perilaku seksual, dan identitas gender.
